Chinese is by far the most common source language for certified translation in Singapore. Whether your documents are from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong or elsewhere, if they're not in English you'll need a certified translation for most official uses. We handle both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Chinese documents we translate most often

  • Birth certificates and marriage certificates
  • Household registers (户口簿 / hukou) and family record books
  • Police clearance / no-criminal-record certificates (无犯罪记录证明)
  • Degrees, diplomas and academic transcripts
  • Driving licences (for LTA conversion)
  • Divorce certificates and notarial certificates (公证书)

Where these are accepted

Our certified Chinese to English translations are formatted for the authority you're submitting to:

  • ICA — PR, citizenship, dependant's pass and LTVP applications.
  • MOM — Employment Pass, S Pass and Work Permit applications.
  • LTA — converting a Chinese driving licence.
  • Courts & overseas — with notarisation and apostille where required.
Chinese documents often carry official red stamps (公章) — these must be translated and described too. Send a clear colour scan so nothing is missed.

Cost and turnaround

Standard single-page Chinese documents are a flat fee from around S$68, usually delivered the same or next working day. Multi-page documents such as long transcripts are priced per page or per word and quoted before we start. Notarisation and SAL apostille, when needed, are added as separate line items.

How to order

  1. Upload a clear colour scan or photo of each Chinese document.
  2. Choose Chinese as the source and English as the target when you get your quote.
  3. Receive your certified translation by email, usually same or next working day.
