1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing this website or placing an order with Bablio, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our services

Bablio provides certified document translation, notarisation and Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) legalisation (apostille) services. The specific services in your order, and their prices, are shown on your personalised quote before you confirm and pay.

3. Quotes and pricing

Prices are stated in Singapore dollars (S$). Your quote is prepared based on the information and page count you provide, and may be updated if the number of pages or the complexity of your documents changes. Notarisation and SAL legalisation are separate line items. All amounts shown are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

A quote is an estimate and does not constitute a guarantee of final price. We will confirm the final amount before you pay.

4. Payment

Payment is taken securely online via Stripe using major cards, PayNow or other methods we offer at checkout. You authorise us to charge the amount shown on your confirmed quote. We do not take payment until you have approved your quote. Notarisation and SAL legalisation fees are third-party charges passed through at cost where applicable.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring the documents you submit are legible, complete and accurate, and that the instructions and spellings you provide are correct. You must have the right to provide any documents you upload. We may rely on the information and documents you give us without further verification.

6. Delivery and turnaround

Turnaround times stated on our website are estimates, based on normal volumes. Actual delivery may depend on the nature and length of your document, our capacity, and any third-party processing required (such as notarisation or SAL legalisation). We will do our best to meet the agreed timing but do not guarantee a specific time unless expressly confirmed for your order.

7. Sharing information with our affiliated companies

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that we may share the information you provide (including your name, contact details, order details, payment status and reference, and the documents you submit) with our affiliated companies operating under the same group as Bablio, for the purpose of processing your order and providing customer support. As described in our Privacy Policy (section 4), we may additionally share your information with affiliated companies to improve our group's services, but only where you have given us separate, optional consent (for example, by ticking the optional box on our order page). You may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting your order. Our affiliated companies are subject to the same confidentiality and data-protection obligations as Bablio. We do not sell your personal information to any third party. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details and your options.

8. Confidentiality

We treat your documents and personal information as confidential and handle them securely. To complete your order, we may share them with our affiliated companies, translators, notaries, payment and hosting providers, and relevant authorities, only as described in our Privacy Policy and only as needed to fulfil your order, and always under confidentiality and data-protection duties. Where required for corporate or legal work, we can provide a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on request.

9. Refunds, cancellation and rework

Because translations are prepared specifically for you and often involve third-party fees, cancellations and refunds are handled as follows:

• If you cancel before we begin work, we will refund the amount paid, less any non-refundable third-party fees already incurred.
• Once work has begun, we may charge for the work completed, and any third-party fees incurred will not be refunded.
• If your translation contains an error that is our mistake, we will correct it free of charge as part of your order.
• We cannot guarantee acceptance of your document by any specific authority or institution; final acceptance rests with the receiving body.

10. Notarisation, SAL legalisation and third-party fees

Notarisation and SAL legalisation are arranged with third-party providers (such as a Notary Public and the Singapore Academy of Law). Their processing times are outside our control and may extend your turnaround. The fees for these services are passed through at cost and reflected as separate line items on your quote; they are not refundable once incurred.

11. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in the documents you submit. We retain all rights in our website, content, branding and any pre-existing materials. Where we create a translation for you, the translated output is provided for your lawful use.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse our website or services, including by submitting unlawful, fraudulent or infringing content, attempting to access our systems without authorisation, or interfering with others' use of the site.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Our services are provided on a commercial basis and we accept only the responsibilities expressly set out in these Terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information provided, third-party delays or fees (such as notarial or SAL processing), or your use of a translated document where you have supplied incorrect or incomplete source material.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Singapore law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts, unless otherwise required by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
