When you marry in Singapore, or apply to bring your spouse into Singapore as a PR, LTVP or dependant's-pass holder, ICA and the Registry of Marriages need proof of the marriage. A foreign marriage certificate not in English has to be translated into a certified English version.
Marriage certificates often carry two languages, official seals and stamps, and registration numbers — we preserve the structure and every marking so the translation is read as a faithful copy of the original, not a summary.
For ICA PR and LTVP applications the translation must be notarised. For a Singapore court or a divorce proceeding it may need to be notarised too, and for use overseas an SAL apostille is often attached. We arrange the notarisation and legalisation as part of your order.

Do I need the marriage certificate translated if it's already partly in English?
If the certificate is not wholly in English, the non-English portions must be covered by a complete certified translation. Even bilingual certificates often need a certified English rendering of the foreign-language fields.
